I did this mass communicative study under the research problem of," How is the interest indicated by children in selecting English movies with subtitles, telecast by television" Making a clear investigation on following things, is the aim of this study . .. Are there hopeful realities in these children about western life? Do these movies create western model characters in the country? How is the interest of children in watching T.V channels of Sri Lanka? It was able to find out the interest of children depends on cartoons, love, sex, embracing, freedom in life, hair style, style of dressing, comfortable life style and the abundance of goods and equipment. The majority of the sample preferred to watch sexually attractive actors and actresses. In addition to that, the scene of aggressiveness, quarrelsome habits and violence are capable of enhancing children's violence. It was able to verify that the children of this country have created a pure reflection on the life of America. The majority of the sample has paid a high desire to migrate of America. They have dreams to have and America life. It was able to verify that they have desire to visit pleasant places, have comfortable lives, lives with freedom, entertainment, studying in leading universities, employing in reputed companies, purchasing motor vehicles with famous trade names, having modem styles and having a successful family life. They have these desires without any bar of gender or language. Him T.V. channel was able to attract the interest of the children of Sri Lanka most. It was able to identify that western model characters are not created by these films. According to the facts obtained by this research, it is clear that the amount of times that children watch T.V. is very high. The mental and physical pressure they get from the society and home are in a very high level. It is clear that the children are regarded according to the gender. There is a prior incorrect conclusion that the children are using technology in an incorrect way. As a result, children have been banned to use technology. The children have lost the opportunity of having styles. There are many shortcomings in the school Transport services, as same as in the education system. According to the findings of the research, it is essential to overcome these circumstances. We can expect a better country by giving love and affection to the children and trying to contribute a wise and sensitive child to the society.
