Abstract:
Kabirdas was the well-known poet of Bhalai Period which means the medieval period of Hindi Literature. His vision of life is centered on the elimination of social discrimination resulting from caste and religious discrepancies and setting up of an ideal society where individuals entertain equal rights and privileges. The initial setup of the accomplishment of his vision was to bring about changes in personal attitudes of individual_for a moral development. He used the poem as the primary medium for social enhancement through individual development. His poetry was directed towards this adviser vole and attempted at a social revolution, According to him, all human beings are created by the same root of blood and therefore everyone in the society should entertain equal rights. Thus the objective of this study was to identify the relevance of Kabir's Poetries of social criticism to the modern Indian society. Primary data collective method was used for the study and data were taken from the relevant classical Indian books, magazines and other supportive books which are related to Kabir's Poetries. Overall finding reveals that his guidance enabled many people towards to realize good and correct attitudes and to give up certain faiths and myths they followed blindly. Further, Kabir's religious philosophy, humanism and his language are mostly relevant to the present society. According to the analyzed results it can be concluded that Kabir's advices and his social philosophy is highly relevant and they have made a great impact on the modern Indian society
