The global hospitality industry is facing many challenges under the external business environment. This study will include the effects of global recession, decreasing in overall business in hotels industry and an increased demand for service supremacy from a more quality aware customer. Now, an increase in global awareness of environmental issues pushed the business into green practices. Therefore, most of business manager are being forced to rethink their business policy and strategies. today, globally accepted that business can only achieve their goal objectives by adopting a green philosophy. This thesis will analysis the extent green practice in the 5-star hotels in Kathmandu, Nepal. Which is one of the main sectors responsible for development of sustainable tourism. In specific, this thesis will analysis the extent of green practice within the selected five 5-star hotels from Kathmandu, Nepal. It will be conducted under qualitative research method. It reports the findings from a qualitative methodology that will be designed current extent of green practices within the 5-star hotels in Kathmandu, Nepal. It will be reported on an interview of 5-star hotels manager. The result will further suggest of green awareness amongst 5-star hotels in Kathmandu and where green responsive practices have been implemented. |
