An examination of the education system in Anuradhapura period as revealed by the inscriptions

Abstract

According to the literature and archaeological sources there was very developed Buddhist education system during Anuradhapura period in Sri Lanka. The aim of this article is to examine how the inscriptions the facts revealed by other historical sources.
